Shamila Ladak

I grew up in Karachi, Pakistan, where I first fell in love with the ocean. I went scuba diving for the first time at 12, and before pursuing medicine, I was certain I wanted to become a marine biologist. I am still endlessly fascinated by marine life, especially cephalopods.
